Anna is committed to…

…make massage affordable and accessible to all who want it.

Anna is a member of Open Path Healing Arts Collective, an organization that streamlines and simplifies the process of offering sliding-scale rates to clients in need. Clients of the Collective can search for providers in their area and receive a reduced rate for services. Anna believes that receiving supportive, nonjudgmental touch is an important factor in good health, and should be available to all.

…make equity and inclusion a priority.

People who do not identify as White, cis-gender, and heterosexual are underrepresented in the massage industry—as clients and as practitioners. Touch should be available to all who want to receive it, regardless of their identity. With this in mind, Anna is committed to fostering an inclusive environment and seeks to understand the unique needs of each individual. If there is something you need to feel more comfortable while receiving massage, please let Anna know via email, phone call, text, or during the intake at the start of your session. All personal information shared in the course of your session is kept private and confidential.

…limit the environmental impact of the massage and bodywork industry by piloting sustainable solutions as an example to all.

Massage uses resources, there’s no getting around it, and the biggest drain is generally the laundry. Anna is committed to swapping out synthetic fabrics for linen wherever possible. Linen takes less water to grow than cotton, lasts longer, and dries more quickly. Where linen is not a viable option, Anna chooses cotton over synthetics. Synthetic fabrics are often made with plastics or other petroleum products. Over time, these materials leach plastic particles and other synthetic materials into our water system, which compromises the health of our environment. Anna is committed to investing in sustainable swaps for other resources used in the office as well. She sources facial tissue, hand sanitizer, and cleaning products from Grove Collaborative, a company providing environmentally-friendly household supplies, many in plastic-free packaging. Do you have suggestions for more sustainable practices that can be implemented in the office? Anna would love to hear about them!
